Timeline: When you
decide to rent: Rental agreement

deposit check for $500 attached. Pet damage deposit check
attached if approved.
***Note: If we do not receive full rental and deposits 30 days prior to your arrival, your week may be forfeited. Check-In/Check-Out: Check-In is anytime after 4pm, Checkout is 11:00 A.M. or earlier (no exceptions). The cleaning crew must have six full hours to prepare Tranquility for you. We must ask you to please not arrive early and ask to "store baggage or food". We are sorry but this is required to give you a clean home. Please understand the cleaning crew can not be interrupted before 4 p.m. Clear checkout instructions are laminated and on refrigerator door. Lockbox: The lockbox code will be given to upon the receipt of the final payment Pets: Pets are allowed at our discretion (one only). A refundable pet deposit of $250 per pet will be added to rental payments. Cleaning: a cleaning crew will arrive upon your departure and clean the house. Your $100 cleaning cost is for usual beach cleaning. We are sharing our home with you and ask that you keep it as you would your own. Accommodation Tax: We are required to pay an accomodation tax. This fee is shown in the rental prices above. Weather Policy: If a mandatory evacuation is required, you must leave the beach house under state law. This has happened once in 20 years and we gave the family a free rental. The house is built with Hardy Plank, poured solid concrete, and is very sound. Damage to the House: All damage must be reported promptly so that it may be fixed. This especially important if you see the damage upon your arrival so that you are not responsible for this damage. All of our #'s including house manager's are on the refrigerator door. Cancellation Policy: A portion of the rental price will be kept if you cancel 60 days or more from the date. If you cancel 30 days or less the whole rental amount may be kept if that week cannot be rented. Please refer to Rental Agreement. Telephone: The number to the house is (910) 575-0241 the telephone is toll restricted to local phone calls only. All long distance calls will require a calling card number. Internet: We have a high-speed wireless Internet connection. Boats: You may bring a boat if it is a canoe, Jon boat, kayak, or a small, flat bottom boat (Pontoon boats won't fit). These may be tied up to your private dock 24/7. The tide is a six hour tide, so our canal (leading to the creek-intercoastal waterway-ocean) fills twice a day and empties to mud twice a day. The canal looks much deeper, but is only 3'-5' deep in most places at high tide. It is safe and filled with birds and fishery. Canoe and kayak rentals and delivery are available through a local company. (See links to Surf Unlimited Surf Shop.) Bed Configuration: Two queen size bedrooms with a connecting bathroom and an extra powder room downstairs. Upstairs there is a master suite with a king size bed and a private bath. Also upstairs we have a bunkroom with a double bed on the bottom and an extra long twin on the top. This bunkroom has a private bath. All the mattresses are superior quality Simmons Beauty Rest or Mitchell Gold. Linens and Towels: The lessee must bring their own linens and towels.
