This contemporary three-year-old house sits
on a tidal canal with a private dock and direct access to
the Intercoastal Waterway, which is perfect for shallow-bottom
kayaks and canoes. The house can accommodate two small families
very comfortably. Its many features include: a large gourmet
kitchen, indoor as well as outdoor dining areas, a large sunny
floor plan, wet bar, a gas log fire place, an extensive library,
big screen TV with DVD/VCR (with HBO) and surround-sound stereo
system. The house is decorated with original folk art and
has fantastic views of the local waterways. The luxurious
master suite has vaulted wood planked ceilings, which creates
a private, beautiful retreat and features a sitting area as
and a king size bed. The bed features a high end, irresistible
mattress that's perfect for anyone whose back requires "the
best." The master suite also features a huge private
bath with gorgeous Mexican tile, a two-person whirlpool tub,
a walk in closet, and a double shower. Its private sundeck
overlooks gorgeous views, just right for a sunset cocktail
hour for two.
The house is located on the quiet west end of
Ocean Isle Beach where there is less traffic, less tourism,
and is safe for biking. With the eight miles of pristine beaches,
the area has unlimited recreational activities. Besides the
traditional beach activities such as boating, fishing, and
sunning, Ocean Isle Beach also provides activities such as
putt-putt golf, museum, movie theaters and fun shopping. The
amount of commercial development is not at all overpowering.
There are plenty of options without a commercial "strip."
The beach is surrounded by good public golf
courses. There are several local restaurants, with casual
atmosphere and good food. If your family would like more entertainment,
Myrtle Beach is only 20 minutes away, where you can take in
a show, go for a day trip on a casino boat, or play at an
amusement park. Wilmington is a half hour away, with a historic
riverfront dining and shopping district. We love to stroll
through the antique stores in the charming downtown historic
area. Even closer, historic Southport has dockside dining
and great antique stores. We believe that you can find activities
for your family just moments away from the beach house.
Unlike most beach house rentals, we share our
family's favorite beach toys with you, the extra supplies
usually missing from beach homes. You are invited to use our
bikes of all sizes, beach chairs, toys, wagons, and umbrellas.
The pristine beach is just short block away with direct beach
access, but we love to spend our day on the private dock with
our canoes and kayaks tied up, while watching the incredible
natural beauty of Christopher Creek.
